Fri 08 - Burn Baby Burn!

Day 25 of the holiday and it had to happen sooner or later in these temperatures! Today was the day we got burnt! Not just burnt but proper toasted while snorkelling around the coast of Koh Tao.
It started by us breaking the golden rule of this island hoping by us deciding to actually doing something other than lying on the beach! We decided as a group to head out snorkelling around 4 or 5 locations off the coast of the island, when in Thailand it's rude not to!
The waters were crystal clear blue and full of all sorts of colourful fish. Unfortunately we weren't lucky enough to see any turtles or sharks but we did live to fight another day!
Include some diving off the top of the boat and some lying on the beach in a National Park island and it was pretty perfect!
A quick sun induced sleep on the way back to our island and we were back. Saviour of the day...The 7/11 store that had some after sun in it!
Tonight was also a first for me as the group headed for a LadyBoy show! To say it was a bit strange was an understatement! There's something about a man with breast implants that just freaks me out! None the less they put on a cracking show which was made even better when two of our own were dragged up (no pun intended) and dressed up to take part in a routine! Absolutely hilarious and much credit to them for being good sports!
BBQ's, Drinks and Dancing on the beach followed. Cheap bottles of large Chang from the local store were the order of the day as the group partied away to the early hours! We ducked out for about 01:30...must be getting old!
