Sat 09 - Time To Catch The Train....

Bit of a nothing day today. A nice lie in suffering from effects from yesterday's sun and we were ready to hit the long road back to Bangkok!
A combination of Taxi, Boat, Bus and Sleeper Train were on the agenda to get us there. We started out with a 14:45 Boat and were due to arrive on the train at 07:00 the next morning!
It was all pretty standard stuff, we had got used to long travels but nearing the end of the holiday this one held no excitement!
The sleeper train was worse than the one we had in Vietnam. It was a single pathway with top and bottom bunks either side the length of the carriage! Much preferred the cabins we had last time as I'm sure so did the numerous locals that we woke up as we boarded and settled in! Alas, we the extra company we had there were to be no repeats of the drunken antic's and card games from Vietnam!
This time just a wave goodnight to Emma on the adjacent top bunk, stick the headphones on and enter into another nights restless, bumpy sleep!
